A Little Bit About Myself And The History of Fastrak Motorsports...

It all started when I was young, My uncle Mickey put me in the seat of a big wheel and said win at the now gone Pine Brook Speedway in Pine Brook N.J..  I did win and loved the feeling even before I knew what racing would mean to me and from there on I was hooked.

I followed my family around from speedway to speedway until I got enough money to buy my first go kart from Anthony Profido for 500 dollars.  I worked on it with my dad to get it ready each week, bought a motor used an old body from my cousin Tommy and raced even though I didn't have the money... I had so much fun racing with my Dad and learning from My cousin Tommy that I looked forward to it each week.  We won a couple of times with a very low budget until I felt I was ready to move to a new class.

I bought a champ kart from the very respected and well known Witchcraft Racing and form there on it was history in the making!  I won my first race in the new car the third time out at Borger's Speedway against the famed Wolf family.  I also won 13 times at Snydersville Speedway in the same year.  I finished 1st in points that year at Snydersville Speedway and 5th in points at Borger's Speedway.  It was a year to remember. It was all over shadowed by the fact that for the first time my Cousin Tommy asked me to drive his champ cart in hopes of selling it.  It worked, he sold the car and that was more special to me than anything that happened that year.  Thanks Tommy!  I had a-lot of financial backing from Subway Sub Shops of Boonton N.J. along with Cooper Electric in Paterson N.J. and Sea Breeze Automotive in Bloomfield N.J..  Things were really going great!

I took a year off selling all my equipment in hopes of gaining money needed to buy a new form of racecar that had just started to pick up called ''Slingshot'' The car was built by the famed Tobias family and was a spec class that really relied on the driver and crew more than the car.  So we thought!  We finally bought one and began learning that you just cant put the car on the track and expect it to go.  Set up was a real key and we worked on that for many years winning a short number of times.  My crew and I learned a-lot in the last couple of years.

After my karting days and loosing all my sponsors I found keeping my head above water in racing is a tedious task and worth all the smashed knuckles ad sweat.  I love my crew and would be nothing without them.  I did eventually get back on track last year putting all the pieces in place, crossing my T's and dotting my I's and am ready for what lies ahead.  I will continue this year with my good friend and Webmaster, who also designs and hosts this website - Jim Bangert - of Wildfire Enterprises www.wildfire-ent.com.  Without his encouraging words and support, none of this would be possible!  Also, Jim's website NJ Shore Guide is another longtime sponsor who will also be along for the ride www.shore-guide.com.  Another longtime sponsor FLR Grafix will also be with us as well www.flrgraphix.com.  A new sponsor has agreed to come and join our winning team for this season, Witten Building Technologies Has agreed to a one year deal and is really looking forward our new partnership together.  Dan Witten the Owner of W.B.T. is one of the most genuine men I have ever met and I hope to have his support in the years to follow.

I don't know how to explain my love for racing other than to say this, I could be having the worst day, week or even year but in that car its like it all goes away.  The oneness I have with the passion and car is like nothing else!  The world could be coming to an end and you know what in that car it doesn't matter.  I love racing and hope to be doing it for a long time.  I hope by saying this it has helped you realize the love and passion behind this and why all of us racers no matter how down or broke keep striving to be the best.

Hope to see you at the track and thanks as always for all of your support!

Jason A. Kosch
